5 out of 5 stars Cathedral Peak

With Brad82, we might have had one of the first ascents this season. Hike in with 4' of snow and orienteering took 2 hours. Marmots chewed through rap slings on p. 1 tree. We took a 5.9ish finger crack variation a pitch below the summit.

5 out of 5 stars 4 pitches

we stretched each pitch to the max (literally with 6" to 1' rope left) and we still always seemed to end up on a perfect ledge.

don't study the topo before if you want to spice it up :D

We also took the most direct line up to the summit and went over some cool 5.6 R sections. Towards the top someone already had a rope up on the final two cracks so i just went left on 5.8R, a Great way to pass other parties.

5 out of 5 stars With Mike C

I had some problems with the altitude, so Mike led all pitches. There were a lot of people on the wall but everyone was chill. Overcast skies led us to divert around the summit at the last second, which was probably dumb. A bit of 5th class traversing and down climbing due to our inability to find an easier way down. A classic I will return to once I have acclimated to the altitude--don't do this one less than a day after coming up from sea level like I did!

5 out of 5 stars SWEET

Kristin and I. Chased off the peak by lightning and rain. Only to be trapped in the car by mudslides.... GREAT send.
