Nice route, DEFINITELY worth doing if down at Roger's. I didn't really come across a crux, maby the reach out the roof to the enormous hand holds; could be big, but not hard. This is also a great route because it is usually dry even after a good rain. Worth doing several times, do the direct start once (bottom of the big boulder) but then don't worry about it, since it's more like a warm up to the route!

Phenomenal route, if it's dry. The big crack to the left is usually nasty when it rains, so this is never a wet-weather climb. If memory serves, the crux is just after the 5th bolt, with an excellent hands sequence where feet might be hard to find. Very much an endurance route. Hope to Redpoint next time I go back in Oct.

Very cool route, quite long. The only 5.9 or easier sport climb at Kaymoor, from what I have seen. The start is probably really the crux, just put your foot on the little stuff, trust it and go! Umm, if you're carrying Cater's guide, make a note that it's 9 bolts, not 7. Although, it really is a great moment when you realize that even bringing an extra draw you still don't have enough! :-)

Very fun route, seemed to be more of a 5.8-5.9 if it weren't for the definite crux. I took two shots, and spent quite a bit of the first try hang dogging and finding some of the key holds. The crux is just coming off the horizontal finger crack, to a huge pinch. At this point I missed a critical two finger pocket on the first shot, but when i knew where that key pocket was, it was fairly easy to send. What really makes this part hard, though, is that there are almost no feet here.

The best thing about this route is that it is on the same anchors (possibly) as Direct and Fortress Fingers.

Enjoyable route. Two bolt anchor at the top, almost straight above the start. The line is pretty easy to see. The start is a breeze, chill at the shrubbery for a while, then the climb really begins. I did most of it like a layback. The end is probably harder if you don't use the nice hand crack, unless you're like me and haven't got a lot of experience with crack. The sequence at the end is nice without the crack, though.

The hardest part of the climb is also the easiest to protect. I really couldn't get a good feel for this route since it was threatening to storm and I was trying to get the climb in quick. Resulted in a slower climb, with more sloppyness and hangdogging on a route I should have onsighted. The last runout is pretty trippy, at least for me since I have not done a lot of lead yet. Ask me how i know about needing a long runner for clipping the shackles. (D'oh!)

Hmmm. Good for a first outdoor toprope, very social just like the description says. I was actually a little too big to use the crack as a rest (read, I almost got stuck!) which i hear is a common problem. Good area to practice setting up topropes, also good to rappel and take pics of friends!
