About Malibu Creek State Park:

Great pocketed volcanic rock in Malibu Creek State Park. Easy TR, bouldering and severely overhung sport routes abound. Even bouldering from the swimming hole, great on hot days. NOT OK to bolt new routes.

Nearest town or city: Malibu and Calabasas
Directions: Interstate 101 West of 405, exit Las Virginas Hwy (south), approx. 5 miles on the left. $5 parking. Follow the trail of trash to the Planet Of The Apes Wall. FROM SAN DIEGO: Take California Interstate 5 to the 405. Head north on the 405. Take that till the 10. Take the 10 west till you hit PCH (1) When you reach Pepperdine University (Malibu Canyon Road), turn right. Continue on this street till you see the Park on your left. ($5)Park in the second lot back and take the trail to a beat up bridge. After that bridge, take a Right at the BIG fork in the road...taking a left will lead to a dead end. continue on that trail till you reach the visitors center bridge. After that bridge take a left and continue to planet of the apes. The park cleaned up all the trash, so DO NOT RELY ON TRASH TO FIND YOUR CRAG!
