About Courtright Reservoir:

A great summer area located at over 8000 feet in elevation, high up on the western slope of the Sierra. Fantastic dome climbing on over a dozen domes, the largest being about 8 pitches! Like Tuolumne without the crowds!
Nearest town or city: Shaver Lake
Directions: Access from civilization (west) is via state Highway 168. In the town of Shaver Lake, turn right onto Dinkey Creek Road. Follow for 20 miles; turn left onto Courtright Road, follow for 3 more miles to dam. (if you're coming south on 99 turn off on the Central Madera exit and go one block south to Yosemite St and go East. This turns into Cal 145. Go 16 mi to intersection with highway 41 and continue east for 3 mi to Rd 206, go Right. Go to Friant road (Shell stn) and go left to Auberry rd (Exxon Stn) Intersect Highway 168 at Longs Drug
