Lower approach from Touchstone Road (Taken from Greg Orton's "Rock Climbing Southwest Oregon") From Interstate 5 take Exit-125 onto Garden Valley Boulevard. Drive 3 miles west on Garden Valley to Melrose Road. Turn left onto Melrose Rd. Follow Melrose Rd. 5.0 miles to where Melrose Rd. deadends on to Flournoy Valley Rd. Turn right onto Flournoy Valley Rd. and travel 5.5 miles turning right onto Touchstone Road. Drive 1.8 miles to the locked gate. Be sure to leave room for people to turn around. From the gate walk several hundred yards up the gravel road to the first LEFT switchback turn. The small trail starts on the uphill side of this turn, near the beginning of the turn. Follow this trail 3/4 miles up the hill, gaining around 750 vertical feet, to the base of the rocks. |

The land is owned by Weyerhauser, but the access is open for climbers. The relationship is a good relationship but normal rules apply. No fires, camping, pick up garbage etc. Also don't park in front of the gate and leave some room so they can open the gate. They patrol and get mad when they can't pull out their wood. |
