Description:

flake traverse left then move up into a wierd slot. then a nice lieback to nice rap hangers. a serious lead for the fledgeling 5.10 leader. a fall getting into the lieback will send you for a swinger. (Added by virginiapine) Liebacking not necessary for long; climb it to see what can be done! Make sure you have bomber gear below the 'beak' - falling from above and ripping gear would mean breaking you into two on the boulder at the base with its angled edge pointed up at you!

4 out of 5 stars Heat Stroke

Fun diverse route. Didn't lead but felt pretty comfortable. Probably some awkward fall potential.

4 out of 5 stars nice warm up!!

gear seemed kinda suspect in slot before you turn the upper corner. after i turned the corner, i stopped and strenuously placed gear so i wouldn't hit loose sharp flake at bottom of alcove. seemed like serious consequences if you fell at the crux. james from utah belaying.
