4 out of 5 stars A little bit of everything

Chimney, slab, finger crack, arete, you name it. A must do route if you're at the wall.

4 out of 5 stars Good route

First pitch was challenging for the given 5.6 rating. I found it more challenging than the 3d pitch 5.7 "crux". All pitches were excellent.

3 out of 5 stars Good route

Hard start, a little runout on somewhat questionable rock. Excellent route nonetheless.

4 out of 5 stars Great crack!

As good as Hackberry IMO. Did not find it to be very dirty. A bit physical down low with great hand jams all the way to the top. The guide book says to traverse right to an anchor, but that is not necessary. There is now an anchor on the left wall at the top of the crack. Be sure to pull the rope to the left to keep it from getting stuck in the crack when you finish.

4 out of 5 stars Good crack

Great climb, though not as good as Hackberry Crack.

Low crux in steep fist section then easy climbing until high thin hands crux.

4 out of 5 stars Off Route

Excellent route. Unfortunately, I think I went too far right too soon and ended up in some very lousy rock. I clipped the ring angle piton and then aimed for a bolt a short ways to the right. This led me to a large hollow flake horizontal (which will pull off some day) and up to a left facing dihedral of very poor rock. There was a place for a solid .5 BD cam or a stopper, but as I didn't bring anything smaller than a .75 camalot, I placed a #2 camalot under a hollow flake and raced to the top--had a hold break off in my hand midway up.

Moral of the story: I think I should have stayed left until after the piton and ignored the bolt to the right. I ended up one dihedral too far right.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent splitter

Great jams the whole way. Good stances to place gear. A little dirty at the top, but not bad.
