About Horseshoe Canyon Ranch:

The newest, yet best developed climbing area in the Midwest!!! Bolted routes from 5.6 to 5.14a!! Beautiful sandstone features allows for the most bomber crack climbing in the Midwest. You can rent cabins ($50-off season, $108-during summer), or camp for only $5 from Sept. to March. Guide service and climbing school to come sometime in fall. Along with campground/showers at the North 40 crag that will be opened all year round. The fee for climbing is also $5, but you can buy a season-pass for $100 -- $50 per year to Camp and another $50 per year to climb.
Nearest town or city: Jasper
Directions: 7.4 miles west of Jasper on State Highway 74. If you're driving I-40, take Highway 7 N @ exit 81 in Russelville and proceed north to Jasper. From Northwest Arkansas, take 412 East to junction 103 (Compton) turn right and continue until junction 43 (Ponca) turn right. When you get to Ponca, go through and turn left on hwy 74 (Jasper) HCR is about halfway between Ponca and Jasper on hwy 74. Turn right down a dirt road at brown "Horseshoe Canyon Ranch" sign. Park at kiosk and register and pay for camping/climbing. Or see one of the Ranch employees for info on season passes, etc.
