This Route Is Bolted
Everything I have seen on this route states that it is unprotected but that is not true. The first time I climbed Dixie Crystals, I ended up on this route for a short time. I was finally able to figure out what route this was by climbing all but one of the routes around it (Wet Dreams).
I started from Dream Waves under a bolt at a nice bulge. If you are following the dike up from the first belay on Dream Waves, the start is just past the first bolt on Dixie Crystals. Climb up to the bolt at the bulge (crux) and find several nice crystals above the bulge to help pull up over it. This is where I ended up my first time on Dixie Crystals and from reading other's ascents, I am not the only one. From here, climb up and left to a bolted belay. The route now follows a water groove all the way up the ledge at the base of a large overhang and will require either a gear belay or the use of a tree. There was two more bolts between the belay rings and the ledge. We were able rap from a tree a short distance to the belay rings on Dixie Crystals. Two more raps with a single 70M got us to the tree ledge.
